Warm, relaxed portraits of people, pets, babies, engagements and weddings, made with nothing but natural light.
Hi, I'm Lawrence!
I grew up in Sydney and now I'm Canberra based. I've been doing photography for the last 11+ years as a hobby, starting off mainly doing landscape photos. After finding this niche, over time I noticed my preference for taking photos in the portrait orientation, which has naturally led to equally enjoying portrait photography.
Over the last few years I've been blessed to have had many portrait photography opportunities — friends, pets, engagements, weddings and babies — to shape my growing portfolio as a lifestyle photographer.
My Life in Photizo brand is shaped by my natural light focused style of portraits, my Christian faith, and my desire to share these things with others. I'd love to get to know you and your story. Let's complement each other's stories, grow together, and take some photos.
"When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, 'I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.'"
John 8:12, NIVFive specialities, one consistent thread: real light, real moments.
Client Testimonials
We loved working with Lawrence for our newborn photoshoot. He made the whole experience so easy and effortless for us as new parents. Lawrence produced beautiful, vibrant and meaningful photos for our family, ones which we have framed, and which bring us so much joy each day. The quality of his work is outstanding, and his personal touch, skill and kindness made the shoot fun and relaxed. Thanks Lawrence, we love your work!
We couldn't recommend Lawrence more highly. My fiancée Hannah and I recently had our post-engagement photos taken with Lawrence, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Not only did he capture absolutely stunning photos, but he also went above and beyond before the shoot by scouting the location ahead of time to find the best spots and lighting. One of the highlights was a unique scene he discovered that made for some truly memorable and beautiful photos. His eye for detail, creativity, and dedication to getting the perfect shot really showed throughout the session. Lawrence made us feel comfortable, relaxed, and natural in front of the camera, and the final images turned out even better than we could have imagined.
Choosing Lawrence was easily one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. From our initial consultation to receiving our final gallery, he listened to everything we said in what we were looking for and delivered exactly what we had requested.
Knowing we had Lawrence as our photographer helped us focus on enjoying the moment rather than worrying about what our photos would look like. We were able to trust that he would get the shots that we wanted and needed.
On the day he was responsive, professional, and knew how to get the right shot, without interrupting the moment.
Whilst we didn't have any set style in mind, Lawrence was flexible and took a variety of shots which all turned out amazing. He was able to capture our love for each other, the joy from our family and friends, and all the special moments of our celebration.
He was extremely fast in his turn around which allowed us to share our memories with friends and family much sooner than we had anticipated.
We loved having Lawrence as our photographer on the day and we would recommend him to anyone who wants their special moments captured forever.

Some questions you might be wondering before getting in contact with me about photos.
Yes — I favour using natural light because it's softer and warmer. We can discuss lighting options for your location during our consultation catch-up if you like.
For both my Lifestyle and Signature sessions, it's ideal to lock in dates about 3–4 weeks in advance so we have time to plan, consult and work out a time that suits us both. For a wedding day, please get in touch at least 3–4 months in advance so we can plan multiple consultation catch-ups, including time together at the rehearsal.
Absolutely. Some clients want solo pet portraits, others want the whole family (two- and four-legged) together. Let me know your preference when you enquire and we'll plan the session around it.
Definitely! As a big car guy myself, I'd love to include a car or motorcycle as part of our time together — it adds a lot of storytelling elements to the session and photos.
My usual turnaround time to deliver photos from a portrait session is between 5–10 days. For weddings, expect a longer wait time of 3–4 weeks due to the increased workload. If you'd like to receive some photos in an earlier time frame, I can edit and send you a select few within a couple of days.
It's great you want to get in touch with me about photos. If you fill out the form, we can catch-up and see if we're a good fit to create some photos you'll love.
